With a PhD in science and experience as both a researcher
and senior manager, Bob brings a strong scientific and
evidence-based approach to his consultancy, ensuring that
best-practice approaches are adopted, while at the same
time always looking for new and creative ways of improving
processes and outcomes. The training and services
outlined on this page reflect his areas of expertise. He is
passionate about capacity building and supporting
organizations to be high performing and delivering
sustainable outcomes that exceed their expectations.
Over a 40-year period, he has worked in private, public and
not-for-profit sectors in a diverse range of areas including
manufacturing, tertiary education, health and overseas
development.
In association with the Strategy Management Group and
Informa, Bob provides accredited training with George
Washington University’s Centre of Excellence in Public
Leadership in Balanced Scorecard, Strategy Execution, OKRs
and KPIs in Asia, the Pacific and Australia.

Many organisations collect a lot of data but from our
experience have very limited expertise in analysing and using
data to solve problems and improve performance.
With a strong background in problem solving with both
quantitative and qualitative data, we are able to help
organisations to gain ‘intelligence’ from their data and to make
well informed decisions. During the process, we are also able
to mentor those identified by management in these and other
relevant skills.

The Balanced Scorecard (BSC) and Objectives and Key
Results (OKRs) are now used extensively around the world
across all sectors as the 2 key frameworks for strategic
planning, organisational focus and alignment, performance
monitoring, reporting and management.
Bob is a Balanced Scorecard Master Professional with over
24 years experience in Balanced Scorecard development,
deployment and review. He is is also an accredited OKR
Professional and has been involved in the development of
strategic plans and performance management systems for
small (<50 staff) to large organisations (15,000+ staff).

and Management
Based on over 20 years of involvement in performance
improvement in a variety of organisations (private industry,
university, health, NGOs) in Australia, Asia and the Pacific, it is clear
that one of the major challenges faced by many organisations is
how to effectively measure, monitor and manage performance.
This is one area where organisations sometimes need expert
external assistance. We are able to guide organisations to identify
relevant, practical performance measures / KPIs, setting
performance targets and establishing effective organisational
performance reporting.
TRAINING
As mentioned above, in association with the Strategy
Management Group and Informa, Bob provides accredited
training with George Washington University’s Centre of Excellence
in Public Leadership in: (i) Balanced Scorecard (5-day course), (ii)
Strategy Execution (4-days), (iii) OKRs (3-days), and (iv) KPIs (5-
days).
